Your initial contact by email will generate an introductory phone call whereby you can explain what it is that you wish to accomplish and the time factors involved. During our initial phone conversations, we will endeavor to establish the general parameters of your project and inform you of what is typically involved in the undertaking including general costs and financial responsibilities.

Once the general project parameters have been established, in order to facilitate a custom design for an addition to your existing home, or a custom design for a new construction home, and if your are located in Fairfield, northern New Haven or southern LItchfield counties in Connecticut, you can schedule an appointment for one of our principals to come to your home or building site to discuss your "wish list" and space requirements and to determine a comfortable preliminary budget number based on the proposed project scale and your financial capacity to support it.

If an addition, we will photograph and measure the existing building, determine if the proposed location of the addition is feasible and preliminarily evaluate all of the options available to incorporate the addition seamlessly into the existing building with considerations given to electrical, heating/cooling and water system capacities, lot setbacks, septic system, drainage system, well location, land contours and access.

If a new construction, we will preliminarily evaluate all available site engineering data to determine if the building placement, soil conditions, land contours, setbacks and access points of the building lot will allow the proposed design to be implemented and that there will not be any hidden cost factors affecting the project. If you have not had your site engineering completed yet, we will suggest that our associated, experienced and reputable local engineering firm work with you to produce the proper data.

If, after our initial visit, you are satisfied with our preliminary evaluation and have reached a comfort level with the proposed budget number, you may decide to retain Paramount to commence working on your custom design. A deposit of 50% of the Plan Set Package will be required to begin with the balance due upon delivery and acceptance.
